Headquarters Location Austria

In the last two years, Austria posted a net plus of 14 new headquarters. With a total of 303 regional headquarters, the country is now by far leading CEE competitors like Poland, Slovakia, the Czech Republic and Hungary. A recent study by law firm Wolf Theiss shows that the four of them together have only 84 HQ.

Some 300 international companies – including 28 Fortune 500 firms – have set up their Eastern European headquarters in Austria. Prominent companies across the business spectrum, ranging from Eli Lilly, Siemens, Henkel and FedEx, have expressed their confidence in Austria as a business location targeting the CEE region. Approximately 40 CEE-related international institutions are based in Austria. Especially in times of crisis, a secure base to venture from is a big advantage for a long-term business relationship.
