Quantum physics fellowship for Austrian

Other researchers in Austria enjoyed international success over the past few days. The Innsbruck-based quantum physicist Oriol Romero-Isart was honored with the "Young Investigator Award" at the International Conference on Quantum Information Processing and Communication in Leeds, Great Britain. The Spanish-born scientist won the award endowed to the amount of EUR 4,000 for his trailblazing contributions on interdisciplinary issues relating to quantum physics. Romero-Isart is a professor for theoretical physics at the University of Innsbruck and junior director at the Institute of Quantum Optics and Quantum Information (IQOQI) of the Austrian Academy of Sciences in Innsbruck.
