High tech pilot training in the heart of Europe
22. August 2024CAE, a globally operating specialist for software-based simulation trainings, will open its brand-new Vienna Training Centre in the second quarter of 2025. Vienna is the ideal location for CAE’s new Business Aviation Training Centre in Central Europe. This new centre will take business aviation training in the region to the next level by offering programmes for the most sought-after aircraft platforms in an immersive learning environment.
Austria’s central location in the heart of Europe not only makes it a first-class transport hub but also offers a supportive environment for corporate growth.
Initially, nine state-of-the-art full-flight simulators (FFS) will be available in the Vienna Training Centre, including the Bombardier Global 7500 and Global 6000 Vision, the Bombardier Challenger 3500 and the Embraer Phenom. The new, 8,000-square-metre facility will have space for expansion and is being purpose-built to deliver the most advanced pilot training experience in Central Europe. Furthermore, CAE will also offer maintenance trainings. CAE’s mission is to make pilot training more accessible and convenient for operators in the region.
“The Austrian Business Agency (ABA) was a decisive success factor in the successful implementation of this project,” says Mona Teresa Trenkner, Manager European Strategy at CAE. “ABA’s tireless support combined with its comprehensive expertise and customised consulting were crucial in helping us to successfully establish ourselves in Austria. Its extensive networks and proactive support make it an invaluable partner for every company which would like to invest in Austria.”
CAE is represented in over 40 countries with more than 13,000 employees in approximately 250 sites. Pilots, cabin crew, airlines as well as defence and security forces are empowered to perform at their best every day and in crucial situations. CAE stands for more than 75 years of industry experience, flight and mission simulators at the highest level of precision as well as training programmes based on digital technologies.
