New education hotspot for biotechnology

A new education and research campus in Lower Austria is designed to become an education hotspot in the field of biotechnology.

Located in Hainburg an der Donau, a new secondary school with a focus on natural sciences as well as sites of the University of Applied Sciences IMC Krems and University of Applied Sciences Wiener Neustadt with room for a total of 480 students in the field of biotechnology when completed. This is designed to counteract the lack of skilled workers, which also impacts Lower Austria as a business location for companies in the field of health and medicine. Lower Austria is home to model companies in the sector such as Croma Pharma, Marinomed Biotech, Takeda and Boehringer Ingelheim
