Porsche invests EUR 50 million in Vienna

Porsche Holding is investing EUR 50 million in its Vienna-Liesing plant. “This comprises the biggest investment up until now in the company’s history which is designated for one single site”, says Alain Favey, CEO of Porsche Holding. The largest sales facility of the company and the workshops and repair shops will be modernized by 2019. The upgrading of the site will encompass a reorganization of all processes. In the future employees will be assigned responsibility for customer care, damage assessment etc. Every mechanic will be given access to a PC, and will not only be given the spare parts from the in-house logistics but also the required special tools. The bodywork and painting operations will also be modernized. In the future, all orders for the south of Vienna will be handled there, and employees may also work in shifts.
