BMW Steyr increases its business with Toyota

Last year a technological cooperation was launched with the Japanese automobile producer under which 25,000 transmissions were manufactured on behalf of Toyota. In addition to Auris, Avensis and Verso, the focus is on further expanding the range of services provided by BMW for Toyota.
At present BMW Steyr employees a workforce of 4,200 people at its Upper Austria facility, and is training 102 apprentices, of whom half are combing an apprenticeship with a secondary school certificate. BMW Steyr generated revenue of EUR 3.66 billion in 2014.
