The facility not only belongs to the school but also the Austrian company Solid, which signed an agreement to operate it over a period of 20 years. “We do the brainwork here in Austria and monitor the functioning of our facilities via the Internet“, explains Christian Holter, the owner of Solid. Local firms are responsible for assembling the facility.
Solid opened an office in California in June 2015 in cooperation with the Austrian foreign trade center in Los Angeles. The aim is to contribute Austrian know how in the field of large solar thermal plants to the Californian market.
