ContourGlobal relocates headquarters from Paris to Vienna

In October 2014 ContourGlobal acquired Raiffeisen Energy & Environment (REE) and Renergie in Austria. Up to 70 employees will run the European business in the medium term. The Group intends to invest EUR 15 million in the modernization of its wind power facilities. Over the past few months Chief Operations, Business Development, IT as well as the Finance, Accounting, Legal and Human Resources departments were relocated from Paris to Vienna.

In addition, the Vienna-based subsidiary is also responsible for all power plants in the Group throughout the world. ContourGlobal generates energy in 21 countries on four continents, one-third of which is derived from renewable energy sources, and two-thirds from thermal power plants. The European headquarters in Vienna manages business development in Austria, Italy, Czech Republic, Romania, Poland, Slovakia, Bulgaria, Armenia, Spain, Northern Ireland, Ukraine and Armenia.
