First Fill – Made in Austria“

The innovations in production operations lay the foundation for LUKOIL to carry out the so-called “first-fill” business in Vienna i.e. the initial filling of new automobiles with engine oil. Plans call for these oils to be manufactured in Austria in the future. The production site in Vienna is particularly advantageous to LUKOIL for several reasons. “Delivery via inland waterway vessels enables savings of 500 tons of CO₂ in the first year alone. Moreover, the modern construction methods applied in the production facility are subject to the highest environmental standards which cannot be offered by other European manufacturers. The future possibility of directly transferring oil from the inland waterway vessels to the rails also makes Vienna a potential LUKOIL hub for Central and Western Europe”, explains Maxim Donde, CEO of LUKOIL Lubricants.
