BMW-Produktion bei Magna © BMW

Magna Steyr will produce BMW 5 Series cars starting in the beginning of 2017. Graz will serve as the second location for manufacturing the vehicles in addition to Dingolfing in Germany. The contract with Magna to assemble the BMW 5 Series will extend over the entire cycle of the car model.

By outsourcing production, BMW hopes to ensure a high level of flexibility. BMW considers Magna Steyr to be a long-term strategic partner.
