weXelerate: Vienna gets 8,000 m² startup center

The focus will be on three fields of innovation i.e. the Internet of Things, fintech and media. Among the first office tenants and partners are the venture capital companies Speedinvest, i5invest, Blue Minds Factory, Pioneers, PASS Invest and the communications agency Reiter PR, which will relocate its entire staff to the Design Tower.

Numerous corporates on board

Bank Austria, Ithuba Capital AG, Kurier, T-Mobile, UNIQA and Wüstenrot are corporate partners which have already confirmed their three-year participation in the accelerator program. They secure competitive advantages and expertise in their role as corporate leaders. The service and distribution partners involved in the program include the Austrian Banking Association, Austrian Retail Association, Kalbeck, KPMG, primeCROWD, WeAreDevelopers, WhatAVenture, Vienna Business Agency, Vienna Economic Chamber, Io2HUB and 3rd District / Wirz advertising agency.

Mega accelerator with 100 spots per year

The targeted performance figures of the largest innovation hub in CEE in the future will exceed all previously known dimensions in Austria. When operating at full capacity, weXelerate will bundle 20 distribution and service partners, 30 of Austria’s largest companies and an accelerator program for 100 selected startups per year under one roof. The new center will be open around the clock 365 days a year, and the entire ground floor will serve as a publicly accessible co-working space.
