The non-profit American transplant medical company LifeNet Health opened up its European headquarters in Vienna.
The company carried out more than 60,000 so-called allograft transplants every year in 32 countries, and makes available effective, high-quality human tissue from organ donors such as blood vessels, bones, skin, heart valves and tendons as well as cellular transplants. More than five million tissue implants have been successfully put on the market and implanted since 1995 on the basis of the LifeNet Health cleaning technology, without passing on illnesses.
The material for LifeNet Health is prepared to be sterile. The Viennese subsidiary can put the transplants at the disposal of the respective hospital within one or two days for the most frequent applications. Otherwise the needed transplant is flown in from the USA within just a few days.
