DB SCHENKER builds state-of-the-art logistics center in Tyrol and invests EUR 33 million

“With our new logistics center containing over 100,000 square meters, we are bundling our daily European and national lines in an efficient manner by combining two sites”, says Helmut Schweighofer, CEO of DB Schenker Austria and South East Europe. The new and environmentally friendly logistics center is scheduled to come on stream in 2020.

DB Schenker employs a work force of about 2,000 people at 12 sites in Austria. Schenker & Co AG in Vienna serves as the cluster office for the South East Europe region. More than 7,000 employees currently work at 80 branch offices in 14 countries in the region. DB Schenker in Österreich and South East Europe is one of the largest country subsidiaries in the global network of DB Schenker.
