Logo DealMatrix © DealMatrix

In contrast to the many large pitch events, this pitch should be limited in terms of time and costs. The objective is to connect start-ups with investors, events, companies and other opportunities. Awards will be given in five categories. Our Planet i.e. sustainability, renewable energy, agriculture and social impact; Our Body: healthcare, medicine, biology, eating and drinking, wellness and well-being; Our Economy: production, sales, retail and markets; Our Information: data generation, forecasting, consumption and analysis; and finally, the last category of Cities i.e. smart cities and households, e-government. Several internationally operating investment companies will take advantage of the global pitch for their scouting. In addition, start-ups can apply for special prizes. For example, the “Golden Ticket” will give the winner access to the world’s largest start-up conferences such as 4YFN and Bits&Pretzels.

The new research allowance in Germany – in competition with the Austrian research tax credit?

Companies carrying out research and development in Austria have the possibility to apply for research funding, namely the so-called research tax credit. In an international comparison, the Austrian research tax credit is a recipe for success and is designed to showcase and enhance the attractiveness of Austria as a research location. The successive increase in the research tax credit from the original level of three percent in 2002 to 14 percent at present has made a massive contribution to this success.
