Following a EUR 75 million investment by Samsung in the autumn of 2017 and numerous newly concluded partnerships, for example with Nvidia, TTTech announced the founding of this joint venture. It is designed to jointly work on an intelligent driving control system for autonomous driving.
This step should enable SAIC to further consolidate and safeguard its leading-edge position in the field of intelligent driving technology and ensure that SAIC will be the first company to mass produce intelligent driving cars for the Chinese market. The first vehicles are already scheduled to be available this year. SAIC Motor is ranked 41st in the Global 500 list and seventh in the global automotive industry. In recent years the group has pressed ahead with its development strategy in the fields of electrification, intelligent networking, car sharing and internationalization. SAC has been carrying out research on autonomous driving since 2013.
