Amazon has put its distribution center in Großebersdorf (Lower Austria) into operation. The company will create more than 100 new jobs at its new distribution center covering an area of 9,800 square meters.

The online giant is working in Großebersdorf with seven independent delivery service partners in order to enable quick and reliable parcel delivery in the Vienna metropolitan area, according to the company.

The company is investing in its transport infrastructure and innovations designed to enhance capacities and efficiency of the supply chain. “We are extremely pleased to open up a distribution center in Großebersdorf and contribute more than 20 years of logistics competence, technological progress and investments to the transport infrastructure. In this way, we can offer our customers speedier and more flexible delivery options”, states Bernd Gschaider, Director of Amazon Logistics.
