The group of people honored include the startup founders Peter Windischhofer (Upper Austria) and Kilian Kaminski (Hamburg). Their startup called “refurbed” focuses on the issue of sustainability. The fastest-growing refurbishment platform in German-speaking Europe completely upgrades electronic products such as mobile phones, laptops and even kitchen appliances. Thanks to their business idea, the two former fellow students enable consumers to buy generally overhauled electronic devices for up to 40 percent less. In the meantime, the company founded in 2017 employs a staff of 25 people.
