It offers extra-occupational Bachelor and Master's degree study programmes for professionals and trainees in the evenings, on weekends, part-time or as block study periods. Employees with or without a secondary school certificate can choose among six Bachelor's degree study programmes, namely Business Administration, International Management, Management & Digitalisation, Industrial Engineering, Business Law and Business Information Systems. Specialised employees who have already concluded a Bachelor's degree programme can acquire additional qualifications via the Master's study programmes in Business Administration (MBA), Business Consulting & Digital Management (M.Sc.) and Business Psychology (M.Sc.).
In addition to long-distance learning, students also have the opportunity to maintain personal contact to their instructors and colleagues. They exchange study questions and discuss assignments and experiences. Moreover, the FOM in Vienna offers a dual study concept enabling young people to get a Bachelor's degree and complete their apprenticeship training at the same time. This concept has already been successfully established in Germany for forty years. It gives students good career perspectives combining their academic knowledge and practical experience. The lectures and seminars of FOM take place on the premises Sigmund Freud Private University.
On balance, the FOM University of Applied Sciences operates at 33 sites and has 55,000 students.
