The new Medical University campus with sufficient space for 2,000 medicine students and 750 employees of the Medical University of Vienna is emerging at the Mariannengasse site. The new campus is in close proximity to the existing facilities of the Medical University of Vienna and will bundle pre-clinical institutes at one location. The campus should be finished by 2025. "The objective is to enable patients to take advantage of the benefits derived from basic research as quickly as possible. By bundling strengths at the Mariannengasse Campus of the Medical University of Vienna, we can come a whole lot closer to this", says Markus Müller, Rector of the Medical University of Vienna.
