The project featuring an ecological and energy-neutral hall concept is expected to be completed by the summer of 2022. FANUC employs a staff of 7,000 people across the globe, producing automation solutions for industry, from CNC controls and CNC machine tools to laser sources and robots. The company generates global revenue of € 6 billion.
"The site in Vorchdorf was selected due to the central Upper Austrian location with a very good infrastructure", says Thomas Eder, Managing Director of FANUC Austria on the occasion of the ground-breaking ceremony. The aim is to double the number of employees at the facility in the medium term. FANUC's customers primarily operate in the fields of robot applications, the CNC market as well as in metal and mould making.
