Business location radar: Research promotion is a clear competitive advantage

This has proven to be a tried and tested instrument for more growth. Half of those surveyed gave Austria top marks for this model and concluded that it is a clear competitive advantage for the country. Austria once again performed particularly well in the survey in the categories of infrastructure and quality of life. Here Austria achieved top rankings. 86 percent of the companies which participated gave Austria a mark of "very good" or "good" for its energy supply and almost as many were satisfied with the country's infrastructure. 92 percent rated the quality of the environment as being "very good" or "good", and 93 percent positively assessed the level of individual security.
