Success has proven that the founders Eric Demuth, Paul Klanschek and Christian Trummer were right to launch the startup in Vienna back in 2014, but still under another name. Seven years later, Bitpanda has 400 team members and 2.5 million users, and ranks among the most flourishing fintech companies in all of Europe. It is one of the domestic unicorns, boasting a company valuation of more than $ 1 billion.

With the assistance of a PSD2 payment service provider license, state-of-the-art security technologies and optimised user experience, the startup wants to make it as easy as possible for beginners and also professionals such as traders to invest in more than 100 digital assets, including cryptocurrencies, shares, precious metals, exchange traded funds (ETFs) and crypto indices.

Last year Bitpanda already launched an expansion drive. In the meantime, it is active in Spain, Italy, France, Turkey and Poland. The company has established offices in Vienna, Madrid, Krakow and Berlin.
