The resulting innovations in electronic components and systems (ECS) are intended to bring the development of software and simulation technologies for the vision of the virtual vehicle as well as the hardware and software development of cyber-physical systems closer together.


The research area of cyber-physical systems combines applied computer science and software technologies with electronic and mechatronic systems. VIRTUAL VEHICLE and Silicon Austria Labs complement each other perfectly with their respective expertise. The research cooperation bundles the strengths of both centres and covers a broad spectrum of future-oriented technologies which are currently in demand, from semiconductors, electronics and embedded software to trusted AI, certified application software and trustworthy simulations.
