The partners include Arm, Audi together with Cariad, Baselabs, CoreAVI, Denso, Five, the German Fraunhofer IESE, NXP, the Swedish Royal Institute of Technology and TTTech Auto.

Following the kick-off in 2019 and the Chapter Events in 2020 with more than 1,500 participating experts, The Autonomous now has established a new level of industry-wide collaboration by setting up the first working group entitled “Safety & Architecture”. The underlying objective is to define specific reference solutions for complex safety issues within the system architecture of autonomous vehicles. This encompasses subsystems connecting with sensors and fault-containment units to ensure the safe automated operation of the entire vehicle. The resulting vehicle architecture will represent a reference solution within the industry and thus ensure that self-driving mobility becomes a quick and efficient reality.

On 29 September 2021, The Autonomous not only discuss in Vienna the issue of who is developing the safest and most successful autonomous vehicles, but also whether cybersecurity remains a permanent risk and how the international legal situation must be to operate self-driving vehicles safely on the roads.
