More than 100 companies from 18 countries took part in the competition. Snow51 is China's leading ski training centre with fifteen sites in the country. The firm brought world-class ski instruction and the Alpine winter dream to China in cooperation with the Austria ski racing school Schild.
With the support of video recordings and state-of-the-art laser technology, ski enthusiasts can train their turns on the slopes by using a carpet simulator. The steepness of the ski mat as well as the speed can be adjusted by remote control. The "Andorra Sports Start-up Challenge" was initiated by the Global Sports Innovation Center (GSIC) powered by Microsoft and from the Innovation und Investment Hub Andorra (Actua) in order to honour innovative solutions for a year-round sports and tourism offering.
