This was the conclusion of the latest university ranking of Times Higher Education (THE). These university rankings compiled by THE represent an internationally renowned information source for university graduates, students, the business community and industry. The latest "Young University Ranking" lists a total of 539 universities in 74 countries. The Medical University of Graz climbed to the outstanding 20th place in the assessment of the best "young" universities established over the last 50 years.
THE evaluates universities in the five areas of teaching, research, citations, knowledge transfer and internationality. "Forward-looking infrastructure projects, innovative teaching and learning information, the reorganisation of research and the creation of a highly competent and communicative environment involving the close integration of science and business characterise the dynamic path of our university, which has now been reflected in a top 20 ranking among the best young universities in the world," comments a satisfied Medical University of Graz Rector Hellmut Samonigg about the university's current positioning.
