Volvo invests in a new national headquarters

The Swedish automobile manufacturer Volvo is building a new garage and car repair workshop complex in Lower Austria for lorries and buses. The facility is designed to serve as the company’s Austrian headquarters in the future.

The Volvo Group is investing € 14.6 million in the new company location in Kottingbrunn. The new building will feature 4,200 square metres of space. Fifteen lorry and two bus car lifts for repairs are planned as well as a hall crane for heavy components and a separate hall for vehicle deliveries. The spare parts warehouse will cover an area of about 800 square metres on three floors. The construction project is planned in accordance with state-of-the-art energy efficiency and safety standards. The new headquarters for Austria is scheduled for completion in September 2023.
