
This is a decisive factor in determining the value of electric-powered vehicles because this depends to a great extent on the condition of the drive battery. With the help of battery tests which are subject to all the testing criteria of TÜV Austria, mechanics, retailers and private individuals can assess the state of the battery and thus find out the value of their e-vehicles. In this way, it will be realistically possible to establish a used car market for electric vehicles.
In the summer of 2021, the company launched its diagnostic test on the market. In the meantime, AVILOO already works together with the largest automobile associations in Austria and Germany, amongst other customers. Sales partnerships also exist in Switzerland, Sweden, Belgium, Luxembourg and the Netherlands, and the company also offers online shipping. 25 employees currently work for AVILOO. Its next objective is to become the leading provider of such solutions in Europe.
The European Commission has now acquired a stake in the company via the European Innovation Council Fund (EIC Fund). "This equity capital support from the EIC Fund will have a considerable impact on AVILOO Gmbh," states Kerstin Bock, Member of the EIC Fund. "In this way the testing system for batteries in electric vehicles can be rolled out successfully throughout Europe, making a contribution to the transition to sustainable and intelligent mobility," she adds.
