New Headquarters: Canon to manage 26 countries from Vienna
26. August 2026With its new organisational unit, Canon Central & East (CCE), Canon will coordinate services, solutions and projects from Vienna. The decision highlights Austria’s role as a hub for international business operations.
Japanese technology company Canon is further expanding its European organisational structure and has chosen Vienna as the location for its new regional headquarters. Through the establishment of Canon Central & East (CCE), 26 countries across Central and Eastern Europe, the Caucasus, Central Asia and the Eastern Mediterranean will be managed from Austria’s capital. The new headquarters strengthens Vienna’s position as a key management, innovation and sales hub within Canon’s EMEA organisation (Europe, Middle East and Africa).
The aim of the new structure is to provide international companies with standardised and scalable print, document and information management solutions from a single source. New strategies, services and international projects can be implemented more efficiently across multiple markets while ensuring a consistent level of service quality across borders.

„With Canon Central & East, we make it easier for international companies to operate consistently across national borders. A single point of contact, harmonised standards and the ability to roll out solutions efficiently in multiple markets significantly reduce administrative effort.“
Canon Experience Center Drives Innovation
In addition to its management function, Canon’s Vienna site is evolving into an innovation hub. At the Canon Experience Center, companies gain practical insights into future-oriented topics such as digitalisation, artificial intelligence, information management and modern workplace solutions.
The offering is complemented by executive briefings, where Canon experts and business leaders discuss technological developments, current challenges and real-world applications.
Austria as an Established Headquarters Location
Canon’s decision builds on a long-standing presence in Austria. For years, the company has coordinated activities in Central and Eastern Europe from Vienna. The new regional structure further expands this role. “Vienna has always been a place where different cultures, markets and perspectives come together. This international environment creates the conditions for innovation and collaboration,” says Verheijen.
Canon joins a growing number of international companies that use Austria as the base for their regional or European headquarters. More than 400 international companies, including Boehringer Ingelheim and Henkel, benefit from the country’s central location in the heart of Europe, its economic stability and strong international connectivity.
