TEDAI Vienna – Europe’s first TED conference on AI

A TED event with a focus on AI innovation will take place in Europe for the very first time. The highly anticipate conference will be held in Vienna from 17-19 October 2024. It is designed to ignite curiosity, spark critical thinking and give people courage – providing an unforgettable journey into what’s next in AI. 

Prominent speakers 

TEDAI will present a series of world-famous experts, for example: 

  • Raia Hadsell: VP of Research at Google DeepMind, known for her pioneering work in the field of deep reinforcement learning.  

  • Gabriele Mazzini: Architect of the Artificial Intelligence Act (AI Act), which is playing a decisive role in shaping the European AI regulatory framework.  

  • Thomas Dohmke: CEO of Github, shaping the future of software development with indispensable generative AI coding tools.  

  • Selena Deckelman: CPTO of Wikimedia, a leader in the further development of technology and information exchange. 

  • Thomas Wolf: Co-founder and CSO of Hugging Face, playing a definitive role in the development of revolutionary NLP tools.   

  • Victor Riparbelli: CEO of Synthesia, revolutionising video contents with AI.

Why Vienna? 

Research in the field of AI has a long tradition in Austria, for example in the fields of logical systems, neuronal networks, robotics and speech understanding systems. In addition to knowledge-based and learning systems, robotics and autonomous driving rank among the most important AI research areas in Austria. The AAIC - Applied AI Conference 2024 will also be held in Vienna at the same time. It is an international business symposium bringing together AI innovators from the corporate and startup world and venture capitalists. The programme of this event includes keynotes by international experts, podium discussions, in-depth meetings and virtual 1:1 meetings scheduled in advance with more than 1,000 participants from all over the world.
