ViennaUP’24: An insight into Vienna’s startup and innovation scene

The ViennaUP’24 Startup Festival, which will take place from 3-9 June 2024, has emerged as a regular fixed event for the startup festival every year. The Austrian capital city will serve as a platform for discussions and presentations focusing on innovation issues such as artificial intelligence, smart cities and sustainable technologies.

The ViennaUP’24, organised by Vienna Business Agency, will once again present itself this year as a central platform for innovative startups and investors. From 3-9 June 2024, Vienna will be transformed into the heart of Europe for startup innovations. Exciting events on future issues such as artificial intelligence, smart cities, modern mobility, and sustainability will take place at various locations in the city.

The ViennaUP’24 will strongly focus on the application of artificial intelligence, thus keeping its finger on the pulse of the times in light of the global hype surrounding technologies such as Open AIs ChatGPT. The event will delve deep into issues relating to artificial intelligence, thus providing startups with decisive impetus for the development of disruptive solutions.

A key event in this festival is the Connect Day designed to bring investors and startups together. The ultimate matchmaking extravaganza during the ViennaUP’24 is back once again, featuring more than 1,000 participants and 1,500 matchmaking sessions. The event organized by Austria Wirtschaftsservice (aws) in cooperation with Global Incubator Network Austria, the Austrian Research Promotion Agency FFG, the Vienna Business Agency, Aussenwirtschaft Austria (the Foreign Trade Promotion Organisation of the Austrian Economy) and the Austrian Business Agency (ABA), will be held on the premises of the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber, Wiedner Hauptstrasse in Vienna.
